Material Analyst

Auburn, New York – Movement Search & Delivery   movementsearch.com   is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Material Analyst.

What you will do: The Material Analyst reduces inbound/outbound premium freight, addresses carrier delivery issues for inbound/outbound material, and acts as a liaison between the materials group and off site warehouses. The role attends production meetings, is responsible for supplier specific material planning, and generates supplier trackers for hot components. The position monitors supplier performance for on time delivery, monitors supplier capacity analysis, and manages material support for product launch activities. Additionally, the Material Analyst expedites material shortages, provides purchasing support, reduces raw material on hand for every month end, and resolves price and quantity discrepancies on inbound receipts.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Current experience in the tier one automotive industry. Experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management. Experience using SAP is a plus. APICS certification is a plus.
