Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth in the company, they have opened a position for a Master Scheduler.
What you will do: The Master Scheduler provides organization, planning, coordination, and Supply Chain Department actions to ensure logistics, scheduling and shipping functions conform to customer and market requirements. The role oversees/coordinates the scheduling of the manufacturing floor for materials and product flow through the manufacturing process, while also utilizing customer planning and forecast, customer backlogs, product development plans, and rough-cut capacity planning and master scheduling tools. The position creates a master schedule that can be used for detailed material/capacity planning as well as financial planning, establishes a working relationship with the finance department, and reviews the current demands against the model and changing landscape to ensure that the production plan in place is achievable. Additionally, the Master Scheduler recommends safety stock levels, develops resource planning that compares required man hours vs. available work hours, and coordinates vendor scheduling, transportation, expediting, inventory control, auditing, shipping and receiving actions.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current master scheduling experience. Experience working with LEAN, KanBan and Value stream management in a manufacturing environment. Certification desired in APICS, CPIM or CSPC. Strong ERP, MRP, MRP II, SAP or QAD systems background. Demonstrable experience productively managing inventory turns and supplier improvements. Experience with injection molding or extrusion.
