Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Lead Wiring Engineer.
What you will do: The Lead Wiring Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, documentation, and release of wire harnessing for automotive battery projects, including working on multiple programs in parallel and at various life cycle stages. The role 3D models bus bar and wire harnesses using CATIA and ensures compliance to customer and industry standard best practices for routing and clearance. The position creates 2D drawings of all parts and assemblies, while also analyzing, testing, and resolving harness designs. Additionally, the Lead Wiring Engineer supports the selection of connectors, pins, materials, and related harness components and works with suppliers to ensure high-quality products.
What you will need: High School Diploma. Working experience with automotive product development cycles as a tier 1 supplier. Previous experience with automotive wire harness design. Automotive wiring experience. Experience with Agile, Trubiquity, FTP Sites, Team Center, Sharepoint, Engineering Client, and Global PLM Systems desired. Experienced CATIA user required. Experienced CATIA wiring harness user preferred.
