Birmingham, Alabama  – Movement Search and Delivery    www.movementsearch.com    is working with a multinational supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Warehouse Supervisor in eastern Birmingham.

What you will do: The Warehouse Supervisor maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items, securing warehouse, and supervising staff. The position meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions, while also maintaining inventory by conducting monthly physical counts. The role accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, communicating job expectations, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions. Additionally, the Warehouse Supervisor delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items, maintains storage area by organizing floor space, and secures warehouse by turning alarms on and testing systems.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Mid-range experience in a manufacturing management role. Experience in safety management. Current experience in the automotive industry or similar. Current experience in a high-level manufacturing distribution environment. Supervisory experience with hourly employees. Quantifiable leadership skills. Experience with “Just in Time” and “First in, First Out” processes.
