Manufacturing Supply Chain Manager

Roanoke, Virginia – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a world leading manufacturing company.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Supply Chain Manager.

What you will do:  The Supply Chain Manager oversees the supply of all raw materials and packaging, production schedules and finished product through to customer delivery at the plant level, while also controlling inventory levels and reporting, including overall responsibility for audit procedures, as well as supports projects related to continuous improvement within the supply chain. The position serves as a member of the plant leadership team, setting direction and policy for the facility, ensures a production schedule is developed, and is responsible for managing raw, finished goods and packaging days on hand and period end inventory levels. The role procures raw materials, recommends continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs, and collaborates with the corporate team to develop supply plans to achieve right product at right place and the right time at the lowest cost.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in supply chain manager. Experience in engineering/manufacturing environment.  Experience in working with and ERP, preferably SAP, specifically within modules related to factory scheduling and production as well as warehouse and inventory management. Experience in production planning. APICS certification is a plus.
