South Boston, Virginia- Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading supplier of industrial robots, modular manufacturing systems and service. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Manufacturing Supervisor.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Supervisor supervises a manufacturing group, participates in the resolution of technical and logistical problems, and monitors activities, initiating actions to eliminate problems. The role provides training to employees, develops/implements measures to improve operations, and resolves human resource issues. The position provides management for machining, fabricating, assembly, and inspection, maintains awareness of new developments and technologies, and reviews equipment capabilities, methods and processes, making recommendations regarding feasibility. Additionally, the Manufacturing Supervisor plans, establishes, schedules and assigns work, utilizes the most effective equipment, reducing costs, and communicates status updates regularly.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma with applicable experience. Current experience in manufacturing supervision. Experience with continuous improvement and employee training. Experience with fabrication and machining. Transformer manufacturing experience is a plus. Exposure to ERP and Workforce Management software.
