Southfield, Michigan Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is partnering with a company that is leading the way in advanced production systems for full body, components manufacturing and turnkey body shops. Due to their recent growth, the company is searching for a Controls Engineer – Software.

What you will do: The Controls Engineer applies knowledge, principles and techniques in engineering and computer science to generate required to develop software system programming and documentation. The role researches, develops and customizes software interfaces, while also utilizing existing customer and internal standards as well as references from previous projects to develop and customize all required application specific software (i.e. PLC ladder logic, HMI files). The position coordinates and reviews with Technical Leaders, Automation Engineers, and colleagues to maintain consistency within a given project.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in software development. Current experience in controls engineering. Experience in manufacturing. Basic understanding of HMIs & PLCs (Control & Safety) and associated application software. Ability to travel up to 40%.
