Manufacturing Site Manager

Southfield, Michigan  – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading OEM provider of process equipment used in manufacturing facilities.  Due to their growth, they have newly created positions for Site Managers to be on location at customer sites during start up phase.

What you will do: The Site Manager will coordinate employees, contractors, processes and equipment required to execute the successful modification or installation and start-up of machines and equipment at customers’ facilities.  Will work closely with management team to transition equipment from internal commissioning phase to the installation phase including shipping of material.  Will provide project cost analysis, trends and recommendations to functional departments.  Will serve as principal contact for assigned subcontractors while monitoring and enforcing compliance to schedule, budget and quality, scope of work and specifications.

What you will need: BS Degree or 5+ years experience in Construction Management, Engineering or related field with previous experience as a Site Manager. Proficiency in SAP preferred.  Must have 2+ years working knowledge of manufacturing type contracts, preferably in the machine tool automation and/or industrial washer industries.  Working knowledge of equipment, process and commonly used design practices for Balancing Equipment and Automation also needed.
