Manufacturing Research Engineer

Richmond, Virginia – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international applied research manufacturer. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Manufacturing Systems Research Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Systems Research Engineer provides industrial, manufacturing, and systems engineering expertise for research projects. The role develops, analyzes, and defines improvements for manufacturing and quality processes, with a strong emphasis on the transfer and management of digital information in the manufacturing enterprise, while also utilizing software, statistical analysis, process improvement, and other tools to support process definition, development, and improvement. The position performs statistical analyses, discovers technology breakthroughs and developments, and performs in a dynamic, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the Manufacturing Systems Research Engineer works with research managers and customers to develop, define, and execute research programs, while also providing training to technicians, interns, and visiting researchers from industrial and academic partners.

What you will need: Advanced Degree in Engineering. Masters Minimum. Experience working with manufacturing process design, analysis, and improvement. An understanding of a variety of manufacturing, quality, and non-destructive evaluation processes. Significant experience planning, executing, and analyzing data from experimental trials. Experienced working with specification and quality processes for manufacturing of parts in industries that are highly regulated or have high process quality. Hands-on experience learning various manufacturing processes and operating equipment.
