Manufacturing Operations Lead

Fenton, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a national supplier of manufactured goods that feed into a multitude of industries. Due to the recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Operations Leader.

What you will do: The Operations Leader analyzes and reacts to basic mechanical problems as they arise, while also coaching and training other team members towards problem resolution. The role maintains a safe working environment for Team members and equipment while actively participating in Safety Committee, conducts job specific training and development, ensuring that all Team members understand equipment operations and maintenance procedures, and maintains quality and efficiency targets in production. The position oversees all critical quality parameters of the process to ensure quality standards are met, schedules and assigns tasks to safely and effectively run production lines at established speed and efficiencies, and is responsible for handling production, quality reports and accounting of downtime and potential problem areas. Additionally, the Operations Leader troubleshoots equipment problems, schedules housekeeping and audits, and is responsible for new equipment installation, equipment overhauls and other projects as assigned.

What you will need: Strong lean knowledge. Experience leading Kaizen programs. Experience with visual mapping. Knowledge of Toyota production systems is a plus.
