Manufacturing Manager

Hammond, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a leading Tie one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Manufacturing Manager.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Manager plans, organizes and directs the manufacturing services function, including maintenance, process engineering and facilities engineering through the proper use and sequence of materials, tools, machinery, equipment and facilities to successfully support all manufacturing operations.  The position analyzes work force utilization, facility layout and operational data, recommends methods of improving team member efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, and directs not only the development of manufacturing processes and equipment, but also day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure uptime goals are met. Additionally, the Manufacturing Manager oversees the continuing review, revision, improvement and equipment for existing products, provides advice and assistance to manufacturing departments in connection with the solution to manufacturing difficulties, and develops a comprehensive strategy for process improvements that are designed to ensure safety, increase efficiency, drive down cost, and improve quality.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with mid-range experience in facilities and manufacturing. Experience in industry management. Current experience in the automotive industry.
