Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Guntown, Mississippi  – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an engineered wood products manufacturer that services the construction industry for both residential and commercial markets.   Currently, the mill produces high quality oriented strand board (OSB) 24 hours a day 7 days a week; the mill is designed to annually produce 450 thousand board feet (on a 3/8ths basis). Guntown’s 2014 annual revenue was $79 million and due to this growth, the company has opened a position for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician.

What you will do: The Maintenance Technician evaluates equipment to improve production and efficiency. The role supports production and maintenance to ensure a quality product and repairs/rebuilds pumps, cylinders, valves, and other mechanical equipment. The position is responsible for troubleshooting all maintenance problems and issuing resolutions. The Maintenance Technician has welding and pipefitting responsibility, while also using basic shop equipment. 

What you will need: HS diploma or GED. Current experience in maintenance. Proficiency in the use of computers. Experience with compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam boilers systems, familiar with bearings (both setting and lubricating). Ability to pass a mechanical test which is involved in the screening process.
