Ann Arbor, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national manufacturer of electric components that supplies to a multitude of industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Engineering Manager.
What you will do: The Engineering Manager oversees product development from the initial concept/quote phase through production launch. The role is responsible for meeting technical, cost, and schedule milestone targets for all engineering product development activities, for overseeing new electrical unit development, and for developing product specifications consistent with customer requirements. The position conducts technical design reviews, both internal and with the customer, manages engineering resources supporting the product development, and utilizes change point matrix/DRBFM (design review based on failure mode) to evaluate design change points and define/execute engineering actions necessary to confirm and mitigate any product performance concerns. Additionally, the Engineering Manager leads/directs teams in defining validation criteria based on product and customer requirements, reviews/approves all validation reports, and oversees validation issue resolution, while also performing risk assessments and interfacing with customers.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Advanced experience in engineering. Current experience in engineering management. Advanced knowledge of electric components. Previous PLC operation is a plus.
