Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Sound/Vibration

Syracuse, New York – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading manufacturer of capital equipment for both industrial and consumer use. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a new position for an Engineering Manager.

What you will do: The Engineering Manager leads/supervises assigned staff, manages several simultaneous test methods and departmental projects with differing priorities, and provides direction to global division teams involved in assigned projects. The role coordinates test development activities with a cross-functional teams, performs product evaluation and performance analysis, and prepares detailed and complex test reports. The position coaches, mentors, and develops engineering staff, delegates responsibility, provides regular feedback on productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment, and participates in recruitment and selection activities. Additionally, the Engineering Manager assists teams in product design and development and understands, supports and contributes to current total quality management (TQM), six sigma, international standards organization (ISO) and environmental, and/or health and safety (EH&S) management systems.

What you will need: Master’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in manufacturing engineering. Experience in a management role. Experience with sound and vibration. Good understanding of UL, CS, EN and NFPA. Good understanding of design tools.
