Manufacturing Engineer - Tier One Automotive

Germantown, Wisconsin – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a world leader in the tier one automotive space.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer investigates, justifies, selects, implements, and/or debugs production equipment and processes. Special emphasis will be on all aspects of conventional and CNC compact and sizing presses, sintering including high temp, steam treat, and heat treating, automated material movement for all equipment and processes, machining and secondary process including grind, turn, and deburr. The position is also involved with physical plant facilities, continuous improvement, CIMS cost reductions, technology and productivity improvements, and other misc. projects. Moreover, this post develops and manages RFQ, ECAP and capital documents, organizes timelines and schedules project installation and runoffs in coordination with plant management as required to maintain timelines, and develops and implements cost reductions to meet plants CI and industrial plan goals. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with the development and management of the plants industrial plan, machine condition ratings/routings and with the development of plant layout’s to meet current and future state needs identified in the plants CI and Industrial plans. Furthermore, the role not only prepares cost analysis estimates but also maintains a working knowledge of all ISO, OHSAS and TS documentation as required and documents all aspects of cost reductions and productivity improvements within the CIMS program.

What you need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (preferably mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, metallurgical or industrial) or a minimum of 5 years of proven manufacturing engineering related experience in a high volume industrial manufacturing environment, with an additional 2-5 years experience in manufacturing related required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Unigraphics and powdered metal processes.
