Terre Haute, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a supplier of brake systems. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Manufacturing Engineer.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer analyzes customer part prints and specifications, writes process design specifications based on analysis of part prints, and develops machine and tooling specifications. The role controls capital expenditure budgets for new product launches and process improvements, manages the procurement of machinery and tooling, and develops schedules and controlling activities of machine and tooling suppliers. The position designs equipment layouts for individual lines, cells, and zones, implements process and product improvement activities, and handles multiple projects with little or no supervision. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer completes APQP documentation according to internal, customer, or other recognized automotive standards.
What you will need: B.S. degree in a technical field with experience in planning, proposing and managing the implementation of manufacturing equipment and improvement projects. Experience with projection and resistance welding, basic knowledge of machining processes, demonstrated experience with AutoCAD drawing, Mitsubishi PLC’s (troubleshooting and programming), hydraulics, pneumatics, reading wiring diagrams, AC and DC variable speed drives, solid-state starters, industrial controls and robotic interfacing, as well as the ability to create documentation for new and existing projects.
