Manufacturing Engineer – Tier One

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a leading producer of vehicle acoustics management systems. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for analyzing, planning and implementing new production equipment and providing solid manufacturing plans. The role supports the continuing development of a safety culture, coordinates the implementation of new production equipment and operator training to meet standards and final sign-off requirements, and develops production layouts according to group standards. The position implements equipment improvement by analyzing current production equipment and processes, performs feasibility studies by verifying cycle times vs. tact times for the purpose of creating capacity, staffing and line balance leveling plans, and leads cost reduction projects and troubleshooting activities. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements and monitors systems to ensure optimized manufacturing feasibility, participates in cross-functional teams to develop equipment and process standards, and benchmarks existing processes and products.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Automotive engineering experience. Familiarity with automotive related component drawings and math data files. Ability to travel up to 50%.
