Danville, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer understands, teaches, and promotes the use of improvement techniques, while also communicating lean activities throughout the plant. The role develops the plant improvement plan, drives improvements in measures of performance through teams and plant staff efforts, and assists with the success of the plant operations. The position provides training, mentoring, and guidance to more junior staff members, develops/leads medium to large projects including defining scope, objectives, and methods, and trains others and implements the principles of lean manufacturing. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer cost analysis and represents the organization through individual contact and formal presentations.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred. Current experience in manufacturing engineering. APQP, root cause analysis, and documentation experience. Metals, welding, CNC, and stamping are pluses.
