Crawfordsville, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer – Electronics.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer – Electronics is responsible for collecting and reviewing production data from production cells to ensure implemented process improvements are sustained. The role supports production quality processes and procedures to increase production throughput and eliminate impact to the customer, while also participating in and leading kaizen events to improve internal LEAN manufacturing (ABS) processes to increase production’s efficiency and quality. The position trains production operators on lean principles and manufacturing processes to increase production’s efficiency and quality, ensures new products are designed for manufacturability, and reviews industry trends and technological advancements for products and processes. 

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Expert knowledge of mechanical systems and design. Working knowledge of office and CAD software. Basic knowledge of tool and die concepts. Drafting skills with Autocad, Inventor, ProE, Mastercam, and basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Knowledge of machine tools including welders, mills, lathes and various mechanical and electrical hand tools to create prototype. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as spinning, welding, punch press, brake press, hydroform and basic knowledge of die design principles.
