Newnan, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a world-class Tier-1 automotive supplier. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Manufacturing Engineer.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer will work in the fabrication department of this high volume manufacturing facility. This is a project management focused role that will work with all aspects of the manufacturing process to make improvements and cut costs. Supports the development of packaging and ensures BOMs & packaging instructions are accurate and correct. Prepares project cost estimates, budgets, Returns On Investments (ROIs), and CARs as required. Works with Launch Managers, Facility Tooling, and Equipment Suppliers to develop and build assembly fixtures, assembly aids, or other equipment needed in developing manufacturing cell to manufacturing parts. Ensures that work cells are set-up properly and contains the required equipment and information that enables proper number of operators to produce products at the assigned run-rate and to the required specifications. This includes such items as Assembly Tools, Safety Devices, up-to-date Standard Work, Operator Work Instructions, and Error Proofing / Poke-Yokes devices etc…
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree *(an engineering degree is NOT required) High volume manufacturing engineering and project management leadership experience. Experience with injection molding and assembly highly desired. Current or very recent experience in a Tier 1 Automotive environment.
