Manufacturing Engineer-APQP

Detroit, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a leader in manufacturing equipment assemblies for the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer – Tooling.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer develops new product tooling, interface with focus core teams, product engineering, and plant manufacturing personnel, while also designing/implementing process equipment into manufacturing facilities. The role leads process design functions to determine product flow through the manufacturing cell by use of current engineering and continuous improvement techniques, while also establishing resource requirements and material flow. Additionally, the position coordinates not only the tool and process design review, evaluating any and all changes in product or component design and its effect on the manufacturing process, but also with program management to construct detailed plans of the various tasks required for successful completion of project.

What you will need: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Current experience with assembly and/or manufacturing in an engineering role. Experience with the APQP system. Experience in equipment tooling.
