Chicago, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer leads and participates in engineering related activities, develops new manufacturing processes, and implements cost reduction ideas. The role submits cost justifications for relevant issues and items, forecasts long term planning for manufacturing, and creates the global plan for entire work area, while also communicating with both internal and external customers. The position installs and moves new and existing machinery, completes project write up and executive summary of needed equipment, receives supplier quotes and assists in the selection of acceptable bids, while also overseeing projects from requisition stage throughout completion. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer performs operator training for new processes and equipment, supports machine runoffs, monitors the acceptance testing activities and progress of such testing, and determines capital needs for future projects with current capacity.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in a manufacturing engineer role. Experience in the tier-one automotive industry.
