Manufacturing Engineer


New Hudson, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery    is working with a manufacturer of capital equipment and tooling systems.  Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer is primarily responsible for detailed process and technical guidance to the operations team and identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements. The role investigates and resolves of process and product deviations, develops process changes to accommodate new products and improvements to existing products, and designs tools and fixtures to support manufacturing. The position interfaces with design engineering, product development, and purchasing teams to develop products for manufacturability, interfaces with manufacturing personnel to develop process and procedural documentation, and works with design engineering during the component design phase to ensure the design can be manufactured in a cost effective manner. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer identifies manufacturing methods, develops new manufacturing methods, identifies material requirements and supports procurement, and provides status and schedule support of products during the complete manufacturing cycle.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in manufacturing engineering. Strong hands on mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience. Computer literacy with working knowledge of PLC program diagnostics.
