Manufacturing Engineer

Indianapolis, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a metal fabrication and manufacturing company. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading safety and productivity initiatives through manufacturing and process improvements in a diverse manufacturing environment. The role leads cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of continuous improvement projects while effectively balancing internal and external resources and budget adherence. The position leads justifying (ROI), designing, developing, implementing and documenting process improvement, automation, and capital projects, designs tooling and machine parts using 3D CAD software as needed, and provides proactive input and solutions to improve safety and productivity. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer works directly with fellow coworkers and outside vendors to ensure alignment and effective execution of project initiatives.

What you will need: BS in Engineering. Current experience in manufacturing engineering. Experience in leading process and tooling improvements in punch press area and complex assembly processes. Experience in converting or retrofitting mechanical controls to electric systems using PLC, HMI and Drive systems. Experience in leading capital projects through justification, design, build, implementation and verification. AutoCAD ability.
