Manufacturing Engineer

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national supplier of automotive tier one manufactured goods. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer conducts time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations. The role provides industrial engineering support to all manufacturing operations through the application of lean manufacturing/Kaizen principles, develops plant layouts, work instructions, and process flow layout, and sets up procedures while adhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies. The position develops/maintains time studies, line balancing and ergonomic information to support production requirements, manages process of FMEA’s and other process documentation, and monitors/reports production measurables and productivity incentive plans. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer supports/troubleshoots 8D/problem resolution methods, recommends, supports, and implements continuous process improvements, and engages in continuous learning and professional development to maintain current knowledge.

What you will need: BS in Engineering. Manufacturing experience in an automotive environment. Experience using CAD software. Lean manufacturing experience.
