Rockford, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Manufacturing Design Engineer.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Design Engineer performs selection, design, analysis, and testing of new products, while also supporting new business proposals, formal design reviews, and customer presentations. The role provides engineering documentation and design tool improvement, interfaces with management, suppliers, customers, and members of the technical design team, and maintains compliance with budget and schedule. The position satisfies external and internal customer needs subject to strong design and business constraints, provides timely and effective communication to management and customers, and supports engineering investigations to establish root cause, implementing appropriate corrective actions.
What you will need: Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Strong experience in aerospace engineering. Expertise with fuel pump technologies and specifically geared-fuel-pumps. Background in engineering drawings, structural analysis, and 3D design software. Working knowledge of gas turbine engines and their applications. Proficiency in ACE and/or Design for Six Sigma, particularly DOE.
