Manufacturing Controls Engineer

Southfield, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a leading OEM provider of process equipment used in manufacturing facilities.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Controls Engineer who will work with customers regionally.

What you will do: The Controls Engineer will support the engineering team for job quotation, design, start up, build and install. This role will write and program detailed system functional specifications based upon proposal documents and provide engineering support to quote new jobs, work with customers during design and startup.   This position will perform electrical software work for new or special products, as well as research and design of new controls circuits and write programs and debug of software as it relates to the design of new equipment.

What you will need: BSEE in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Current experience in advanced system design within an advanced manufacturing environment.  Programming skills using ladder logic, flow charting or other high level languages. Experience in AutoCAD, Siemens 7 and/or Allen Bradley.  Experience with S7 Version 5.5 Ford Fast template.  Ability to design hydraulic, pneumatic, lube and coolant systems.
