Manufacturing Calibration Technician - Testing

Warren, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with a leading supplier of quality and testing systems. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Calibration Technician.

What you will do: The Calibration Technician applies knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibration test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE); in the electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, thermodynamic, and/or chemical disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy. The role recommends standards, writes and reviews calibration procedures/processes as necessary, and maintains calibration reports for proper traceability.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Current experience in calibration testing. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, orders processing and database software programs and systems including but not limited to: Microsoft software products, Fluke METCAL and METTEAM. Strong background of Oscilloscopes, DVM, Thermodynamics, Power Supplies, Torque, Load Force, Pressure, Materials and industrial process control equipment. Familiarity with ISO/IEC17025 Testing/Calibration Laboratories accreditation program and requirements. Working knowledge of measurement of uncertainty budgets and calculation estimates.
