Saline, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a international conglomerate with a growing division in the bearing space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Applications Engineer.
What you will do: The Applications Engineer develops and acquires accounts/key accounts in various key industry segments, preferably but not limited to construction machinery/equipment, maritime applications and industrial applications. The role creates and manages sales opportunities primarily for large diameter bearings, generates sales opportunities for other product lines, such as gearboxes, winches, hydraulic cylinders and motors/pumps, and analyzes/monitors markets/industry segments and definition of appropriate market strategies in coordination with sales management. The position implements defined market strategies and detects/creates new sales opportunities, works closely with the customer to clarify customer’s technical requirements and expectations, and receives, examines and clarifies customer specifications in accordance with application requirements. The Applications Engineer creates, submits and negotiates quotes with new and existing customers in agreement with sales management, arranges and negotiates customer specific terms and conditions for sales and delivery, supply contracts, non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents in coordination with sales management.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience in manufacturing and engineering. Ability to travel 50%. Experience with large diameter bearings. Technical sales experience in construction/cranes industry and/or maritime/offshore applications and/or within other industrial applications, such stationary machinery, bottle fillers etc.
