Manufacturing Accounting Manager

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a national supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for an Accounting Manager.

What you will do: The Accounting Manager manages the daily activities of the accounting department and leads a team of two to seven direct reports. The position focuses on general ledger responsibilities, as well as taking over duties directly from your supervisor, such as handling bank requirements, analyzing budgets, and diving into the details of financial reporting. The position ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, supports budget and forecasting activities, and advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions. Additionally, the Accounting Manager works with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit, assists in development and implementation of new procedures, and provides training to new and existing staff as needed.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Current experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley). Experience with CMS, QAD, BPC and Blackline is a plus.
