Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Our client is a major Tier One for German automotive. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Maintenance Technician.

What you will do: The Maintenance Technician supports production by keeping robots and auotmated machinery at levels they were originally designed to perform. The role troubleshoots, adjusts and teaches robots software and/or path programming to meet operational needs and increase productivity while reducing cycle time, installs/repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, and inspects/tests machinery and equipment and document maintenance activities. The position dismantles defective machines and equipment, installs new or repaired parts, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairing/replacing gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician implements/maintains a preventative maintenance program for all (production and facility) equipment, assists in tool, fixture, material flow and changeovers, and is responsible for maintaining 5S in department and periodically participating with audit process.

What you will need: Associate’s degree or technical certification. Robotic programming experience using Motoman or Siemen’s. Experience working with automated weld equipment. Experience working in an industrial automated environment. Hands on experience in welding and metal forming techniques and processes. Knowledgeable on PLC and electrical diagrams.
