Goshen, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a world leader in the automotive OEM space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Journeyman Electrical Technician.
What you will do: The Journeyman Electrical Technician performs a wide variety of complex duties associated with the application of one or more craft skills to install, fabricate, trouble-shoot, repair, move and maintain a wide variety of production equipment, facility equipment, buildings and systems. The role reads and interprets technical manuals, drawings, schematic diagrams and works from verbal instructions to determine, estimate and order material requirements and to plan and lay out the details of the job, while also troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of complex mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, production machinery and instrumentation equipment. The position installs and moves machinery and equipment to effect layout changes, completes pipe fitting, welding, torch cutting and PVC fabrication work required for the repair and installation of all equipment and facilities, and keeps production work area neat and clean while performing repairs, preventative maintenance, etc. and clean-up area before leaving when the job is completed.
What you will need: Journeyman Certificate with an electrical focus is preferred. Completion of electrical/electronic courses. Work experience in an electrical technician role within automotive manufacturing. Experience with stamping presses (Hot Stamp, Cold Stamp and Transfer Presses). Experience with controls. Must be open on shift.
