Maintenance Supervisor

Somerset, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading manufacturer of tier-two automotive components. Due to recent growth, they have opened a position for a Maintenance Supervisor, west of Somerset.

What you will do: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance of all company facilities, equipment, tooling, and grounds, oversees all new capital expenditures items including vehicle, tooling, and equipment purchases, and in-house construction and fabrication projects, and provides technical support and personnel resources to support environmental improvement efforts. The role provides input for identifying environmental aspects and minimizing their impacts, assists in the implementation and monitoring of the annual capital expenditure program budget, and continues to implement the concept-to-manufacturing process for appropriate capital expenditures for each program launch. The position performs research to develop new manufacturing process technology, with an emphasis on single piece flow, assembly methods, production equipment, and environmental impact, designs, develops, and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods, and writes machine statement of requirements and specifications for new product launches. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor develops, evaluates, and helps select equipment suppliers to meet company requirements, performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved manufacturing efficiency, and represents the department on the cross-functional management team.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. Current automotive industry experience. Current knowledge of APQP standards and AIAG core tools. Current experience with CAD/CAM programs. Current management of engineering personnel.
