Maintenance Manager - Pulp/Paper

Asheville, North Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with an industry leading packaging client that has been in business for over 100 years.  Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for Maintenance Manager.

What you will do: This position will focus on designing a maintenance organization to effectively utilize planning, purchasing, and skilled labor to improve equipment reliability.  The Maintenance Manager has full accountability for all engineering and maintenance activities for this facility.  This role will have dual responsibilities over equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance.   This role will also maintain a preventive maintenance program for all production machinery that will enhance production and decrease repair and maintenance costs.  This is a strategic role tasked with transitioning the maintenance department from the current reactive state to a reliable/predictable state by developing and implementing maintenance systems to improve equipment reliability.

What you will need: B.S. in Engineering. Experience in pulp/paper. Current experience in a maintenance leadership role within a medium size manufacturing company.  Quantifiable experience as a change agent demonstrating cost savings, process improvement and increased efficiencies.  Current experience with lean manufacturing.   Experience developing strategy to identify required equipment upgrades, and effectively managing the installation projects.  Utilities experience  with the designated supplier (natural gas, propane, water, electricity, sewage waste  disposal. Experience managing a budge of $20M+.
