Maintenance Manager

Fort Wayne, Indiana – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Maintenance Manager in eastern Fort Wayne.

What you will do: The Maintenance Manager institutes, reviews and rationalizes all PM’s and improves program to reduce downtime and improve overall maintenance costs, while also managing a multi-technical team among multiple shifts, ensuring open and effective communication within the department. The role manages/facilitates corrective action and continuous improvement teams, is responsible for the daily approval of associate timecards and accurate completion of all attendance paperwork, and develops/institutionalizes associate training needs to improve skills through internal coaching, training and/or external training. The position manages/directs all department associates, administers discipline, oversees vacation/overtime, and schedules timely completion of all facility and equipment work orders. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager plans, schedules and manages all shutdown-related activities, constructs, maintains, and tests equipment, machinery and components, and establishes fiscal year budgetary needs.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Lean manufacturing experience. Experience with PLC’s, Robotics (Motoman, ABB, etc.) and a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with welding (Mig & Tig), manual and robotic. Experience with hydraulic presses. Experience with electronic controls (i.e., Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.). Demonstrated evidence of developing and sustaining PM & TPM programs.
