Manufacturing Manager

Maryville, Tennesee  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is  working with a national supplier to the automotive industry and due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Manufacturing Manager.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Manager develops unit budgets and performance targets, executes production to achieve customer order/shipment requirements, and interfaces with customers on all business related issues, with specific attention to quality and delivery. The role supports new program launches, supervises/provides direction to reporting team leaders, and builds/supports continuity and communications between shifts. The position supports inventory reduction and cost improvement strategies, maintains positive employee relations and development, and manages achievement of quality, quantity, and cost objectives. Additionally, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for supervising a department consisting of a supervisors, technicians, and operators.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in precision metal removal and assembly operations. Current experience in manufacturing management. Supervision experience of professional and technical staff. Experience in lean production systems principles implementation. Knowledge of CNC/PLC equipment and tooling/fixture experience. Strong understanding and commitment to EHS initiatives. Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.  Powertrain, driveline, steering, or bearings experience.
