Maintenance Manager

Novi, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Our client is a major Tier One for German automotive company. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Maintenance Manager.

What you will do: The Maintenance Manager coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machine, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of manufacturing by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. The role coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products, develops preventive maintenance programs, and directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations. The position inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards, communicates monthly EOS charts, and plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager prepares/monitors department budget and expenditure of funds, reviews job orders to determine work priorities, and reviews new product plans

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Fast paced, high volume automotive manufacturing experience in a maintenance capacity. Experience in supervising maintenance personnel. Experience in managing outside vendors/services. Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability. Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems. Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
