Columbus, Ohio – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Maintenance Engineer.
What you will do: The Maintenance Engineer ensures safe and optimal operation and maintenance of equipment, manages the facility and the activities of personnel engaged in building maintenance, and assigns appropriate level responsibilities for both the repair and the maintenance of facility support and production equipment. The role maintains equipment to ensure safety, health, and environment goals are achieved, maintains equipment to help ensure quality targets are achieved, and maintains equipment to help ensure productivity targets are achieved. The position directs supervision of individual maintenance and repair personnel, reviews progress and budget status of ongoing projects, and confers with individual maintenance personnel to evaluate total performance against requirements for sustained operations, while also reviewing requests for maintenance assistance and assess the requirements for fulfillment. Additionally, the Maintenance Engineer verifies that individual decisions/design considerations are in accordance with established safety codes/requirements, participates and/or leads selection of equipment and procedures to improvement goals, and continually improves procedures and equipment for safety, quality, and productivity.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Current experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing plant processes. Understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs. General understanding of electric and pneumatic controls. General understanding of general troubleshooting logic. General blueprint and schematic reading. Conveyor systems experience. Experience with preventative maintenance. Experience with glass, furnaces, and cooling robots are a plus.
