Auburn Hills, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a leading OEM provider of process equipment used in manufacturing facilities.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Machine Builder.

What you will do: The Machine Builder supports the team by completing the assembly and assisting with the installation and repairs of machine products. The role completes all phases of machine building which may include assembling, drilling, boring, turning, grinding, production milling, etc, while also operating special machine tools such as lathes, precision mills, grinders, etc. The position sets up, adjusts, or operates machinery to perform critical progressive machine operations on prototype components, assembles various parts to meet the requirements of the machine specifications, and works from blueprints and engineering specifications. Additionally, the Machine Builder works closely with the engineering and test floor departments to debug mechanical and tooling problems, installs, services, programs and calibrates electronic and machine instrumentation in accordance with design engineering specifications, and installs machines at the customer’s location.

What you will need: High school diploma. Experience as a machine tool assembler in a high technology, manufacturing environment. Machine operation abilities in tool making, quality control, test laboratories, manufacturing and service. Skilled in the use of tools, machines and precision measuring equipment such as scale, caliper, micrometer, and the ability to read complex drawings and apply principles of advanced mathematics.
