LED Radio Frequency Design Engineer

Atlanta, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an LED Radio Frequency Design Engineer in Decatur.

What you will do: The LED RF Design Engineer is responsible for new product development, cost reductions, and sustaining engineering for existing products. The role works in a multidisciplinary group to develop next generation smart LED luminaires and lighting peripheral systems, while also interacting with vendors and internal value streams to develop state of the art electronics systems and components. The position is responsible for the successful implementation of RF and analog circuit design, develops new product enhancements and cost reductions, and develops/distributes engineering data in the form of engineering change notices, bills of material and parts tracking. Additionally, the LED RF Design Engineer submits prototyping and test requests, works with internal and external testing labs to verify product meets FCC and UL requirements, and champions the development of comprehensive validation techniques to ensure products meet its intended function.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience with radio frequency design. Broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of engineering discipline. Knowledge of Process engineering. Strong experience with CAD softwares. Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma methodology. Understanding of manufacturing such as stamping, drawing, casting, extruding of metals and plastics. Knowledge of UL and UL testing processes very helpful.
