Lean Manufacturing Engineer - Master Black Belt

Rockford, Illinois – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with an international leader servicing the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Lean Engineer.

What you will do: The Lean Engineer drives the facility lean implementation and training efforts, utilizing lean tools and focusing on overall waste elimination, while also supporting areas for methods to reduce costs through the analysis of cycle times, overall processes, current/ future production rates and identification of potential improvements. The role works with production and support teams to improve the working environment, performs analysis of production and support areas for implementation of multiple waste elimination and lean improvements, and interacts with internal and external customers specific to line activities for lean initiatives. The position supports and drives the ongoing implementation and improvement of lean activities, including but not limited to Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow, Kaizen, 5S, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work and Visual Factory and Gemba Walks.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Mid-range experience in lean engineering. Experience with Toyota System, Kanbans, and similar continuous improvement programs preferred. Black Belt or Master Certification. Experience in AutoCAD, JD Edwards, OEE software (CDC), Microsoft Office and Controlled Documents software (Pilgrim). Strong proficiency with P&L and financial tools. Experience with Toyota System, Kanbans, Kaizen, and similar continuous improvement and lean programs.
