Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a three-billion dollar per year, global manufacturing company. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Lead Internal Auditor.
What you will do: The Lead Internal Auditor performs internal audits under the direction of the audit manager, including financial, operational, compliance and controls audits; analytics, gap analysis, and trend analysis. The role conducts internal audit assignments, auditing business processes for compliance with company policies, and common business processes, evaluates controls, performs walkthroughs, validates documentation, identifies gaps and risks, develops corrective action logs, and develops recommendations to mitigate risks. The position develops/reviews control test plans, performs testing across all business units to evaluate their operating effectiveness in accordance with established procedures and reports test results, and participates in and may lead audit engagement team as well as supervise contractual auditors from outside agencies. Additionally, the Lead Internal Auditor assists in preparation of final test results, participates in presentation of audit findings, and develops reports to management and tracks issues to ensure proper remediation or mitigation in a timely manner.
What you will need: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA. Experience in manufacturing auditing. Current experience in professional auditing. SAP, JD Edwards, Hyperion, BPCS, Vanguard systems experience are pluses. 3-10 years of experience, not much more. Previous experience in the public sector would be helpful but not required. This role will require travel up to 50% travel to US manufacturing facilities.
