Lead Hardware Development Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Lead Hardware Development Engineer.

What you will do: The Lead Hardware Development Engineer leads the Electronics hardware Engineering Team in the development of the electronic hardware for the battery management system (BMS). The role develops reusable, BMS hardware engineering specifications, designs for use by BMS software, collaborate with Korean counterparts in the development and management of the BMS hardware technology roadmap, and supports the incorporation of ISO26262 into the development of the BMS hardware. The position develops BMS Electrical/Electronic architectures, plans/implements CAD/CAE Tools for efficient and reusable designs, and develops design with cost effectiveness in mind. Additionally, the Lead Hardware Development Engineer develops core engineering processes and disciplines for continuous improvement.  

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience leading core design teams for electronic hardware. Program/project management experience with motor vehicle programs (automotive, heavy truck). HEV, EV experience is desirable. Applications engineering experience in electrical/electronic products with embedded software. Experience in automotive networks (e.g., CAN) and systems integration is desirable. Experience with high power circuits.
