Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international, tier-one automotive supplier. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a Lead Hardware Development Engineer.
What you will do: The Hardware Development Engineer is responsible for driving the entire hardware development for projects. The role leads/drives all aspects of a hardware design from concept to production, functions as the main point of contact to the customer and to the project manager regarding the hardware design, and creates/maintains the overall hardware development strategy, process tailoring, planned work products, setup the team and roles, setup work product owners, identify risks, and deviations. The position creates/maintains the hardware project timing plan, monitors/controls progress, develops the Hardware Architecture Design and associated documentation, and leads change and configuration management for the hardware project. Additionally, the Lead Hardware Development Engineer creates, reviews, and approves workproducts of the hardware design, organizes/leads schematic, PCB layout, EMC, and manufacturing design reviews, preforms circuit simulations and calculations to support the hardware design, and holds kick-off and hardware team meetings, participating in project team meetings as the representative for the hardware project.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Current automotive hardware design and development experience. Hardware project lead experience. Change and configuration management experience with MKS or similar tool. Experienced with DOORS. Worst case circuit analysis and circuit simulation experience.
