Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened Lead Engineer – Complete Seats.
What you will do: The Lead Engineer – Complete Seats is responsible for specific engineering tasks or technical issues as assigned by Engineering Manager or Chief Engineer to meet product/program needs. The role provides/supports front-line technical customer interface for program/product, manages the design and processes for a specific project, program or product line to meet current and future needs, and supports technical leadership. The position supplies technical direction of the engineers and designers on the team, develops/provides resolution to customer technical issues through the CBU/PBU Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager, and supports core members of the design team. Additionally, the Lead Engineer – Complete Seats supports technical direction to engineers, designers and support personnel, provides solutions to meet all technical issues and works with team to ensure time and cost objectives are met.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience with FEA, GD&T, DVP, DFMEA, and DVP&R. CAD software experience. Experience in metals, structures, mechanisms, foam, trim or plastics; full seating structures preferred. Experience in a customer and supplier facing role.
