Newnan, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a privately held multinational company in the automotive space. Due to recent growth, they have a newly created position for a Launch Manager, just east of Newnan.
What you will do: The Launch Manager assures the successful launch of new, high volume programs, manages all new programs at the manufacturing facility to assure defect-free and on-time launches, and directs plant-wide resources to effectively manage product launches. The role supports the APQP process, coaches cross functional launch teams, supports and coaches pre-launch meetings, and coordinates prototype submissions builds. The role conducts launch teams meetings, supports productivity and cost reducing concepts, and conducts weekly debriefing meetings. Additionally, the Launch Manager is responsible for improving plant safety performance, developing action plans to correct unfavorable metrics, and reporting on progress during management review.
What you need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in a managerial role within the tier-one, automotive industry. Strong knowledge of injection molding and extrusion. Knowledge of resins, equipment, tooling processes and quality requirements. Knowledge of customer launch requirements and PPAP procedures. Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
