Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global, electronics company to identify a Lab Manager for a newly created role.
What you will do: The Lab Manager plans, schedules, coordinates, and supervises all lab personnel, test processes, including methods for collecting, analyzing, and reporting of reliability activities to Engineering and Management. The role supervises all engineering lab resources to satisfy engineering requests, coordinates/maintains calibration and preventative maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and test equipment, and works with external and internal customers in defining product test plans, including timing and resources to be used. The position maintains lab documentation such as build-test requests, central-lab test requests, lab procedures, test procedures, standards, test reports and work instructions, makes recommendations on capital equipment purchases for reliability testing, and generates purchase requisitions for equipment in the budget. Additionally, the Lab Manager directs activities to establish and maintain compliance to company safety and good housekeeping standards, implements formal mentoring and training programs for personnel, and meets the requirements of the Concept to Customer (C to C) System.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience managing a test lab. Experience with EMC/ESD test, environmental testing, and the ability to build/repair/analyze product with small SMT components. Experience with LabView. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations. Experience with electro-mechanical devices.
