IT Technician - Tier One

Lewisburg, Tennessee – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for an IT Technician.

What you will do: The IT Technician provides technical assistance to computer system users in an office/plant environment, answers questions, resolves computer problems for users in person, or traveling users working offsite at a remote location, and provides assistance and guidance concerning the use of computer hardware/software. The role provides hardware and software acquisition recommendations, installs, configures, and provides ongoing support for the divisional Local Area Network (LAN), and maintains computer inventory, while also working with yearly IT budgets. The position monitors/maintains/supports local networks to ensure availability to all users, works with senior level network support personal and client server specialists when implementing new corporate rollouts of Hardware/Software, and provides limited support with the corporate ERP system (M2K/SAP).

What you will need: Degree or certification in IT. Strong technical and customer service experience. Familiar with Intermec/Motorola Scanner gun technology (or equivalent). Familiar with Intermec Printers (or equivalent). Experience within an IT related environment. Experience working within a VMWare virtual server environment. Experience with Windows 7/10. Experience with Server 2008/2012. Experience within a Microsoft Active Directory environment. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL/My SQL Server. Working knowledge of WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi Technology. PC hardware skills. Familiar with HP Desktop/Laptops is a plus. Familiar with networking hardware – I.E. Cisco Switches. Familiar with Avaya phone systems is a plus. Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) equipment is a plus.
