Livonia, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an information technology company and due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a IT Systems Engineer.
What you will do: The IT Systems Engineer remotely interacts one-on-one with end-users and provides basic “over-the-shoulder support.” The role performs maintenance on server and desktop technologies. The position troubleshoots server and desktop technologies. Additionally, the IT Systems Engineer utilizes credible online resources and Microsoft and/or other vendors’ support to bring issues to resolution.
What you will need: Industry certifications and/or degree in computer science, computer engineering, information science, management of information technology, or related field. Previous professional IT experience, particularly in a managed services environment. Proficient knowledge of PC hardware and software, including Office 2010 / 2013 and Windows 7 / 8.1, and others typically found in small businesses (e.g., QuickBooks). Experience, maintaining and troubleshooting a Microsoft domain network of any size. Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2, AD, GPO, & PowerShell. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 365. Knowledge of virtualization. Knowledge of standard networking technologies and equipment (CAT5/6, TCP/IP, racks, switches, 802.11a/b/g/n, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Experience troubleshooting Macs, connection to AD, Extreme-Z, imaging, Abode products, font management, production printing support, etc. Experience with commercial firewalls and Sonicwall is preferred.
