IT Help Desk Analyst

Auburn Hills, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery    is working with a global, electronics company to identity a Sr. IT Help Desk Analyst for a newly created role.

What you will do: The Sr. IT Help Desk Analyst opens/closes service desk tickets for all requests for support that cannot be resolved on-the-spot, reviews tickets for correctness, including categorization and priority, and performs analysis, troubleshooting and resolves first-level support of hardware and software issues. The role defines severity of support request, documents resolution of service requests in sufficient detail to provide an accurate knowledge base for future similar incidents, and communicates service desk ticket status changes. The position reviews, assesses, maintains and recommends improvements, assesses system performance in terms of availability and reliability, and performs installation and configuration of computer operating systems. Additionally, the Sr. IT Help Desk Analyst installs standard personal computer software applications, answers end-users’ queries regarding software packages, and assigns, monitors, and maintains user security access privileges.

What you will need: High school diploma required with some college-level courses in Computer Science preferred. Current IT administration support experience. Knowledge  of Microsoft® Office Suite, including Microsoft® Project, Microsoft® Exchange/Outlook, Windows® operating  system,  PC peripherals, and basic understanding of LAN/WAN network environment.
